The photographies converted on slide support revealed a phenomenon that appears when the temperature is low and the air is very dry: static electricity. In the north cold countries, it is a domestic disturbance known by everybody who lives here. In the darkness it create blue lights strongly visible to the eyes.
We wanted to record this strange lights, which comes from the body against objects: first we tried it with a video camera, but the technology was not subtle enough to capture the static lights. So we used standard photography. We were working for weeks, with different ways of shooting: a kind of performance of fighting with a blanket. After 5 weeks of testing, it began to appear in long exposed photographs. The successful results were approximately 2% of the photos. We were able to have almost 15 photographies.
