DREAMACHINE
2006

Video installation

Description:
Brion Gysin and Ian Sommerville conceived the Dreamachine at the beginning of the 60’s. It is the first object in history conceived to be viewed with closed eyes. The Dreamachine makes it possible to go down in Alpha brain waves, while remaining awake. The white light allows under certain conditions to reach the alpha waves: the fast alternance of the three primary colours which produce light, make it possible for the brain to descend alpha waves by keeping the eyes open.
